Council Tool releases new Velvicut Boy's Axe

Council Tool has just released their new Velvicut Boy's Axe. Built along the same lines as the popular Velvicut Hudson Bay Axe, the Velvicut Boy's Axe features a drop-forged 5160 head, 28" grade "A" hickory handle, and a premium leather sheath.

Like its Hudson Bay predecessor, the Velvicut Boy's Axe is also hung with a traditional wooden wedge and secured with a metal wedge pin. The handle is coated in Linseed Oil, and the Velvicut comes with a lifetime warranty. The price on Council's website is listed as $139.95, and it is expected to start shipping in early June.

Council calls the new Velvicut the "Bad Axe Boy's Axe." Not sure if this is a typo on their web page, or an odd way of saying "Bad Ass Boy's Axe ?"

I should have a review of this axe posted within 2-3 weeks, which will include direct comparisons of it next to the Council Standard Boy's Axe and Forest Service Edition Boy's Axe.
